Artist's Description

These flowers were actually in a small spot a shot distance away from a parking lot. I liked how the location of the flowers made it seem like they were in a field & not just a small patch of grass. This image was taken using 35mm film, scanned & then colored via Photoshop.

Photography has always been a passion of mine, ever since I received my first camera at the age of 11. In 2000 I decided to pursue my passion and work as a photographer for a living. Mostly I shoot portraiture, but have always enjoyed and still do enjoy shooting landscapes, nature, travel and still life. My style of shooting is very relaxed because I prefer the candid over the posed. When I shoot nature or landscapes, I don't necessarily go "looking" for something to shoot, per se. What I want to shoot presents itself to me. The subject will determine whether I process my images in color or black and white. Black and white tends to tell more of a story, but color shows the natural beauty and boundless colors in nature. I feel that...
